Who attends. Casis draws from the core of Tarrytown and adjacent Bryker Woods pockets. Class sizes are typical Austin ISD (18 to 22). The parent community is highly engaged, with an active PTA and consistent fundraising for enrichment programs.

What buyers should know. Not every 78703 address feeds into Casis. Some Tarrytown addresses (particularly southern and eastern edges) feed into Matthews Elementary. Do not assume — verify. The AISD attendance boundary map is the source of truth; Zillow's school listings are frequently outdated.

What it is. Stephen F. Austin High School is the flagship traditional high school of Austin ISD, sited on the shore of Lady Bird Lake just south of Tarrytown. It offers a full range of Advanced Placement courses, a well-established International Baccalaureate program, and one of the strongest fine arts programs in Central Texas. Austin High graduates place into UT Austin, Texas A&M, Rice, and out-of-state selective universities every year.

Athletics and activities. Austin High's athletic program competes in UIL Class 6A and covers the full range of varsity sports. The Fine Arts complex hosts theater, orchestra, band, and choir. Numerous student clubs and extracurricular options give the school a large-school feel with substantial breadth.

Transportation. From most of Tarrytown, Austin High is a 5- to 10-minute drive down Enfield or Lake Austin Boulevard. Bus service is provided.

The Eanes ISD Question

and Eanes ISD

A small but important pocket of western Tarrytown falls within the boundaries of Eanes Independent School District rather than Austin ISD. Eanes is one of the highest-rated public school districts in Texas — often ranked in the top five statewide — and homes within the Eanes boundary carry a school premium of their own, separate from the Casis Elementary premium. If you are shopping the westernmost edge of Tarrytown, verify whether the address falls in AISD or Eanes ISD before you assume anything about which schools serve it.

Eanes ISD schools serving that pocket include Bridge Point Elementary, West Ridge Middle School, and Westlake High School. All three are highly rated.
